Salvete Omnes! Hello everyone! 

My name is Abby Siegel, and I am very happy to meet you!

I am originally from California, but I now live in Canada. I graduated with my M.A. in Classical Studies in 2020 from the University of Manitoba. I graduated Magna Cum Laude from UC Riverside with my B.A. in Classical Studies in 2018. 

I have been studying Latin since I was 13 years old, when, upon starting middle school, I was given a language choice of French, Spanish, or Latin. I thought (and I still think) that Latin was the coolest of those choices - it was the language of most of the spells in the Harry Potter series, it was a language that my aunt told me was magical. How could I not be eager to learn this ancient language? 

I have been teaching and tutoring for over 5 years. I teach most of my students online, and these students range from beginners to advanced translators, and their ages range from elementary school to adulthood. 

Apart from the Latin language, my loves, interests and hobbies include ancient mythology and folklore (which I also teach); ancient and medieval literature; The Lord of the Rings; and my puppies, Penny and Huey.
